'Yeah' is the most common informal version of 'yes' in everyday British and American speech. 'Aye' is used in Scotland. In parliament, MPs vote by shouting 'Aye' or 'No' (not yes). 'Yes we can' was the famous campaign slogan of Barack Obama in 2008.
